By train – Take the Red Line to the Granville stop, and walk the short distance east
By car – Note that Sheridan will be closed from the Broadway/Devon/Sheridan intersection to the Sheridan/Hollywood/Lake Shore intersection, and streets will be blocked off between Broadway and Sheridan. Come in from Broadway on the west side of the race.

Street parking will be limited, so we encourage our neighbors to walk and bike to the Edgewater 5k! There will be free parking available in the Loyola parking structure at Winthrop and Sheridan.

Looking for something fun for the family to do between the 5k and Edgewater Fall Art Fair? Come to nearby Berger Park for interactive activities with Mr. Jay, 9am-11am on the 28th! Dance the robot, sing the bear hunt or hear a story from Dorie the bird!

Edgewater Fall Art Fair: 11:00 a.m. –6:00 p.m.

The race route begins in front of the historic Sovereign Apartments at Granville and Kenmore and heads east to Sheridan Road. Runners will head south on Sheridan Road, a rare opportunity to run in the street, as they are dwarfed by the towering lakefront high rise buildings! The route turns east at Ardmore to the northernmost part of the scenic lakefront path, heading south past Kathy Osterman Beach. The run will take participants back in time to the Roaring ‘20s, past the famed Edgewater Beach Building. Rounding the corner of the Foster Beach concessions, the route meanders along the lakefront before turning around and heading back through the park.

Runners will gather post-race for snacks, then head to brunch at one of our local spots before returning to Granville Ave. for the Edgewater Fall Art Fair, featuring over 90+ artists, two stages and a beer garden.

There is no shortage to post-race brunch options in Edgewater! Stay close and dine on Granville Ave., or stretch your legs and head south to Bryn Mawr Ave. Either way, you won’t be disappointed! Options include:
