    Edgewater Artists in Motion’s Boutique Holidays Art Market

    This Holiday Season, make it meaningful: Shop local. Give gifts of art!  Come share the holiday spirit with a fun group of talented artists while contributing to the growth of your community.  Edgewater Artists in Motion has established Edgewater as one of the most interesting locations in town to discover unique arts and crafts by emerging talents.  Such works are going to be on display at this Boutique Holiday Market, which doubles as Edgewater’s own community holiday party.  All items are within the $5 – $200 price range and make for thoughtful, inspiring and original gifts.

    When: Saturday, December 3 and Saturday, December 10 (11:00am to 5:00pm on both days)
    Where: At Le Gallery Thorndale: 1106 W. Thorndale Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660 (between Broadway St. and
    Winthrop Ave. – just off the Red Line Thorndale stop)
    What: 35+ artists, live music, wine, light food and 10 EDGE Cards raffled off each day to those who take the Shop Local Pledge!

    Art and crafts on sale will include: photography, handmade jewelry, stoneware, pottery, greeting/notecards, wearable art, crochet and knitted items, watercolors, drawings, handmade soaps and much more.

    Unwrap Edgewater

    Sign up for the Unwrap Chicago/Buy Local initiative and use the Holiday Art Market to fulfill your pledge!  This holiday season, Local First Chicago has started the Unwrap Chicago initiative.  This initiative is based around the promotion of shifting $100 of your holiday shopping to locally-owned businesses to help stimulate the economy in your neighborhood and in the greater Chicago metropolitan area.  Go to www.unwrapchicago.org to Take the Pledge to shift $100 this holiday season to local independently-owned stores today.

    Join us at Edgewater Artists in Motion’s Holiday Art Market to support Edgewater artists and fulfill the pledge.  Take the Pledge at the Holiday Art Market and be entered in a raffle for an EDGE Card.  If you take the Pledge before either of these events, you can still be entered in the raffle!  Just bring a print-out showing that you did Take the Pledge.  The EDGE Card is another way to make your holiday shopping more affordable and makes it easier to fulfill the pledge.  To purchase an EDGE Card, contact the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce at (773) 561-6000.  Cards can be purchased for $15 at the Chamber office, 1210 W. Rosedale, M-F 9am-5pm.  You can also purchase by phone with a credit card, and we can mail it to you.
